Wales boss Bobby Gould has agreed to oversee managerless Cardiff's preparations for their FA Cup fourth-round replay at Reading tomorrow. Gould, who guided Wimbledon to FA Cup glory in 1988, will take charge of two training sessions after director of football Kenny Hibbitt injured himself in a fall at home. Hibbitt and physiotherapist Jimmy Goodfellow have been running the team since Russell Osman was sacked.

Gould, 51, has been Wales manager since August 1995 and is preparing to lead the national side into next season's European Championship qualifying programme. He is unlikely to pursue the Cardiff job full-time.
