With their pack in full control Gorey CS proved far too strong for Wexford CBS at Enniscorthy. Wexford CBS put up a gallant battle in the opening 35 minutes, but were overwhelmed up-front. Lydon Jones Gorey ahead with a sixth-minute penalty and centre Micheal O'Neill, after a fine break, got over for a 23rd minute try which Jones converted and the same player added a penalty for a 13-0 lead at the break.
Gorey with Brendan O'Connor and David Shanahan providing the quality ball, added further tries through John Shortle, Darren McAndrew, Denis Tompkins and Darren O'Gara with Jones converting the final try.
