GAELIC GAMES:Down defender Conor Garvey is expected to appeal the one- match suspension handed down yesterday by the GAA's Central Hearings Committee. After the hearing Garvey was found on the basis of video evidence to have "behaved in a way, which is dangerous to an opponent".
The infraction occurred in Down’s defeat of Monaghan when Garvey appeared to stamp on Karl O’Connell. If the penalty is upheld, Garvey will miss the Ulster final against Donegal.
