Drogheda United have signed former Dundalk striker Joe Gallen and hope to complete his registration before tomorrow evening's match against Derry City in United Park.

Gallen scored 10 goals in 18 appearances last season. "Hopefully his arrival will mean that we start to capitalise on a few of the chances that we've been creating," said manager Martin Lawlor yesterday.
