Christians led 10-0 at the break – following tries from Tom Morehead and Adam Finn – and a third six minutes into the second half by Charlie Slowey sealed the win.

A superb cross-field kick by captain David O’Riordan gave Finn his second try in the 52nd minute, with O’Riordan landing the conversion.

PBC CORK survived a stern test at Musgrave Park. Pres led 10-8 at half-time, thanks to a fine try by Rory Fenton, converted by fullback Steve Dinan, and a drop goal by Rory Scannell.

Crescent’s Gearóid Lyons replied with a drop-goal, and Nigel Kerr squeezed in at the corner.

After the break Séamus Glynn sealed the win with a try, with Dinan again converting.
