This was the second meeting of the weekend between the countries, the first having been won 36-8 by England on Saturday.
Bradley Davies put England in front yesterday with a penalty after five minutes but Anthony Downey soon levelled the match with a penalty from the 22. In the 60th minute England's Greg Setherton secured victory with a try.
In Saturday's game Ireland were outplayed at Anglesea Road. Spencer Davy opened the scoring for the visitors with a try after four minutes and Ben Russell and Magnus Lund added further tries before the break. Aidan Rees gave Ireland some hope with a penalty approaching half-time.
