Hat-trick seeking Marton Moss can instigate a Tim Easterby double by taking the Marketing Week Rated Stakes (Handicap) at York today. The four-year-old bounced into form at Doncaster at the end of last month with a three-quarters of a length success over Deep Space.
Marston Moss then followed up the victory six days later at Haydock winning as he pleased with a one-and-a-half-length margin over from Present Laughter.
Earlier, stablemate Jemima looks set, albeit at a short price, to land the opening CGU University Of York Fillies' Maiden. In between, another Yorkshire yard is likely to strike with Lago Di Varano, the pick to land the Anthony Fawcett Memorial Stakes (Handicap) for Richard Whitaker.
This old campaigner showed signs of returning to form two outings ago and emphasised the fact when beaten less than half a length into third by Storyteller at Doncaster. The returns to five furlongs will also suit.
