Dublin 2-12 Laois 0-11: Fourteen man Dublin overcame a tough Laois team at Parnell Park on Saturday to ensure progress to the semi-finals of the Leinster minor hurling championships.

Reigning provincial champions Dublin suffered a big blow when they lost corner back, Michael May, to a straight red two minutes before the half-time interval.

However injury time points from Shane Murphy and Dave Treacy saw them lead by 1-5 to 0-7 at the interval.

Dublin remained in front in the second half with Paul Ryan firing over four points.

Dublin however wrapped the game up with a minute remaining when David Treacy fired in their second goal of the game. But there was bad news for Dublin when Johnny Cooper, scorer of their first goal, took a heavy challenge in the dying seconds.
