Donegal 3-14 UUJ 0-13: JOHN JOE Doherty got off to the perfect start as Donegal manager with a comfortable victory over Jordanstown in MacCumhaill Park, Ballybofey yesterday.

At half-time Donegal led 0-9 to 0-5 with Stephen Griffin getting four while Ciarán Donnelly kept UUJ in touch thanks to frees.

Veteran Brian Roper sealed the issue with the first goal of the game 10 minutes into the second half. Late goals from a Stephen Griffin penalty and Ross Wherity did not flatter the winners.
