DLSP capped off a great week, which included promotion to the All Ireland League Division One, by beating St Mary's in the Leinster Senior Cup at Kilternan last night. In an error-strewn match Dave O'Riordan opened the scoring with a well worked try after five minutes and Niall O'Riordan added another which was converted just before half-time. St Mary's only first-half points came courtesy of two penalties from the boot of Fergal Campion to leave them trailing 12-6 at the break.

David Lyons scored a try in the 61st minute to put St Mary's in front but Shane Stephens restored the DLSP lead with a great 40-metre run to score an excellent individual try. Dave O'Riordan converted and added another penalty to make the game safe.

Ger Quinn scored a consolation try for St Mary's with three minutes left but Campion added the other second-half points for St Mary's.
