The official programme at last week's Croke Park hurling semi-final involving Kilkenny and Waterford carried an interesting advertisement which may go some way towards explaining DJ Carey's (right) mercurial powers.

The Star newspaper's full-page slot, featuring Kilkenny forward DJ and Waterford forward Paul Flynn together in action, publicises the paper's GAA magazine which comes with every Monday's edition.

The accompanying illustration, however, which looks like an action picture of the two players in a tussle, appears to have two sliotars. One of the balls is on DJ's hurley and the other in Flynn's left hand.

Is this what they mean about the magic of DJ Carey?
