Britain's Laura Davies finished her round in near darkness, but there was nothing gloomy about her mood after she posted a four-under-par 68 to join Johanna Head as the first round clubhouse leaders in the Women's British Open.
After a three-hour delay for torrential rain that caused flooding on the course, Davies returned to make an ideal start to her bid for a fifth major.
Four under when she was called from the course, Davies returned to complete the final seven holes in par.
Fifty-four players were still on the course, including Janice Moodie, who was alongside Davies and Head, but still has two holes to play this morning.
