Imperial Call, the 1996 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner, could meet his old rival Danoli at Naas on Saturday.

Imperial Call's trainer Raymond Hurley said yesterday: "I have entered Imperial Call in the Poplar Square Chase, a conditions race over two and a half miles at Naas but he is not yet certain to run.

"I have asked Paul Carberry to ride the horse in the absence of Conor O'Dwyer while Conor is suspended." Tom Foley, Danoli's trainer, said: "We definitely run at Naas and Tom Treacy rides."

The Tipperary track is waterlogged and Thursday's scheduled meeting has been switched to Cork Racecourse, first race 12.45.
