St Mary's, Belfast powered their way to a quarter-final place with a decisive victory over Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology at Moycullen yesterday.

Six points from wing forward Conor Daly did most of the damage for the Belfast side, who could afford the luxury of shooting 13 wides over the hour.

St Mary's led by 0-5 to 0-3 at half-time and were always in control with forwards Liam McBarron and Paul McFlynn outstanding. Rory Hannick and Barry Dooney tried hardest to rescue the GMIT cause.
