SCHOOLS INTERPROVINCIALS:Munster U-18 Schools 5 Connacht U-18 Schools 11: THE RYAN brothers, Evan, Gavin and Darren, made history when they became the first triplets to start on the same Munster schools side, but they could not celebrate a win at Rosbrien.
Connacht fullback Philip O’Dwyer hit a drop goal after 11 minutes and a penalty two minutes into the second half. He paved the way for Connacht’s try when he chipped the defence and flicked the ball to Conor Fitzgibbon for the touchdown. Munster’s Rory Scannall and Stephen Dynan saw penalties hit the uprights and Ryan Murphy’s late try was all they could muster.
