A domestic soccer match is to be transmitted live on the Internet for the first time, an official of Shanghai Webtv Co Ltd said yesterday.

The company has arranged with the Shanghai Shenhua team to broadcast their China F.A Cup home tie against Liaoning Tianrun on Sunday. The address of the web site for the transmission is webtv.sh.cn, the official said.

Former Germany coach Berti Vogts will visit Johannesburg next week for talks on taking over as the new coach of South Africa's soccer team, officials said yesterday.

Vogts is to be interviewed on November 6th by a panel of officials who are deciding on a successor to Philippe Troussier, the Frenchman whose contract expired after the World Cup.
