Two terrific strikes from Fabian Caballero yesterday earned Dundee a 2-2 draw with leaders Rangers in an astonishing match at Dens Park that throws the destination of the Scottish title back into the melting pot.

Scotland midfielder Barry Ferguson missed two penalty kicks before Mikel Arteta accepted the responsibility and slammed home his side's third penalty of the afternoon on 85 minutes to earn Rangers a point.

Rangers lead the table with 88 points from 35 games, but champions and UEFA Cup finalists Celtic - who trounced Dunfermline 4-1 on Saturday - will draw level if they win their game in hand at bottom club Motherwell on Wednesday.

Three more league matches remain after that.

If Celtic win 4-1 at Motherwell they will also even up the goal difference, but McLeish knows Celtic cannot take anything for granted at such a late stage of the season.

"It is disrespectful to Motherwell to say that's a formality," he said.
