The pressures of office had little affect on Sheila Doyle, the lady Captain of Hermitage. Despite her commitments as a busy Captain, she still managed to play marvellous golf throughout the year which earned her the Golfer of the Year title at her club.

Meanwhile, in Limerick Country Club, their lady vice Captain Breda O'Regan demonstrated her potential when she won the Gleeson Cup.
