CLAIRE Grogan came off the bench to score the winning point for Tipperary against Cork in a cracking League Division One contest at The Ragg.

Cork led by 1-6 to 0-4 at the interval, Gemma O’Connor’s free from distance giving them the upper hand.

With Nicole Walsh scoring six points from frees, Tipp got back into the game and Grogan struck for the critical score three minutes from time for a 0-14 to 1-10 win.

Kilkenny had a crushing 7-16 to 0-5 win over Dublin in the other Group Two game at Croke Park on Saturday. In Group One, Wexford beat Offaly by 2-14 to 0-10 while Galway out-pointed Clare 0-17 to 0-8.

Former champions Mayo are fighting against relegation in Division One of the Women’s NFL after suffering a third successive defeat on Sunday, this time to Cork – 2-17 to 2-7 at Cork IT.
