Wicklow trainer Willie Bourke had his licence withdrawn for six months (March 8th-August 31st) at Turf Club inquiry yesterday. Bourke was also fined £500 after being found in breach of Rule 148(vi) when three horses returned in training by him were not present in his yard when it was inspected by Turf Club officials earlier this month.

The horses in question were Old Trafford Queen, Monty's Fancy and Bess Fontaine.

Trainer Donie Hassett was fined £400 and had two of his horses disqualified at another Turf Club inquiry yesterday. Fifth Generation was disqualified from first place in the Clonmel Handicap Chase, run on November 23rd, and Bypharbeanri from first in the Munster Handicap Hurdle at Thurles on December 5th after traces of hydroxethyl prohazine (metaboite of ACP) were found in them.
