An Orwellian revolution took place last weekend at Bristol City. In the club's division one match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, supporters watched agog as one of Bristol's mascots, a costumed pig, swung a trotter at the snout of the visiting team's lucky charm, Wolfie. A tussle involving the animals (several pigs, the wolf and a cat) then ensued as they embarked into a pitch battle for turf supremacy.
Wolves said that "the club are completely satisfied that Wolfie was not the instigator".
However Paddy Kelly, who was inside of one of the pigs said: "During half time Wolfie shoved one of the pigs over and winded him a bit so I went over to have a word with him. Wolfie told me to f**k off and punched me, knocking my pig's head off."
Clearly a case of the animals watching too much football on television.
