An eleven-year wait came to an end for Arthur Kelly of Kelly TV and Hi-Fi of Wexford when he won the Mitsubishi Electric Consumers' National golf outing at the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links.
Arthur, who is this year's Vice Captain at Rosslare won on a count back from last year's winner Pat Regan of Clearvision TV. Arthur better known as `Big Al' who plays off a six handicap, shot 39 points to edge out Hermitage member Pat Regan, who made a brave bid at defending his title. Third place went to Douglas Young a newcomer form 20:20 Logistics who finished just one point behind with 38.
