GERHARD BERGER has withdrawn from Sunday's French Grand Prix because he needs further rest after surgery for a sinus infection, his spokesman said on Wednesday.

Berger who has undergone surgery on his sinuses twice in the last month, plans to return for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on July 13th.
