BOXING:John Duddy's opponent for his second professional fight in Ireland - at the National Stadium on Saturday, October 20th - is Uruguay's Noe Tulio Gonzalez Alcoba (28) whose only defeat in 15 professional fights came on points last summer when he challenged for Felix Sturm's WBA middleweight crown.
Alcoba poses a real threat to the Derry middleweight's world title hopes. Meanwhile fellow Irish middleweight contender, Andy Lee, continued his fine form with a 12th professional victory in Chicago last Tuesday night. He knocked out James Morrow in the first round.
Irish champion Matthew Macklin, light-welterweight Paul McCloskey and Stephen Haughian will also be part of the nine-fight card on October 20th.
