Football 365 pointed us all in the direction of Tranmere Rovers' official website last week to have a look at an interview with the club's sports physiologist George Wilson. Asked to explain his exact role at the club Wilson, informed us. "I just think there are more contemporary and specific scientific approaches to training footballers. When I asked them (the Tranmere first team squad) to wear pink tutus and ladies underwear the players were a little bit sceptical to start with but after that I enlightened them and showed them how they should we be worn and since then we've not had a problem. To be honest they've been very, very open to it and most people have taken it on board."

To which we replied: "Hmm, you're very probably better off out of it, John Aldridge."
