Madam, - A central paradox of modern times is that as we approach the hard winter months, more and more wind-chilled, blue-tinged female flesh is on display. Another is that as, statistically, we women get increasingly larger, so is the fashion industry more loath to provide us with clothes that cover us adequately.

Few women, myself included, possess stomachs and bottoms which bear public scrutiny. Cannot the fashion industry be cajoled into replacing the female form where it rightfully belongs during the current season, that is to say, under wraps? - Yours, etc.,
