Madam, - Various commentators on the US presidential primaries have pointed out that Clinton's candidacy is a mathematical impossibility and has been for some time. So why is she still around? Maybe it is naive to assume that out of party loyalty she would withdraw a hopeless candidacy to give Obama the best possible chance of beating McCain.
If her personal ambition takes precedence, an Obama presidency would be disastrous for her. From that perspective, she needs Obama to lose so she can have a second run at the presidency in 2012, and her best option would be to stick in there, displaying tenacity, inflicting subtle damage on Obama in the hope of saying:"I told you so".
I can think of no other reason why she is still in the race. -
