Sir, – I’m not sure how Simon O’Flaherty (April 26th) parks his car, or if he has fully thought out his suggestion to reduce levels of dangerous driving by “legally obliging drivers to park only in the direction of travel”.
I don’t think it would change much. Not for me anyway.
When I drive past a space on the other side of the road, I just pull a quick U-turn and race back to it! – Yours, etc,
