Sir, -Among the NRA's plans for road development are two motorways, one from Cork to Dublin, the other from Waterford. Both these motorways eventually lead to the Red Cow roundabout, a fine testament of road planning failure and shortsightedness.
New motorways will inevitably attract more traffic to this monument misery. Perhaps a Cabinet meeting to discuss the National Development Plan could be held in the centre of the roundabout, this might help focus minds a little. - Yours, etc.,
