Sir, – My uncle, Thomas Patrick (TP) Lynch, at 94 the oldest man in Killinkere, takes issue with the version of the catchphrase quoted by Frank Cogan (July 5th). According to TP the rhyme went as follows: "In Killinkere they wear them bare, In Denn (pronounced "Din" locally) they wear them thin, And tear them all from scratching". – Yours, etc,
