Sir, - I have just received disturbing news from Cork RTC. Apparently the diploma that I attained, and incidentally had to work bloody hard for, has now been downgraded due to the upgrading of Waterford College. I enjoyed my time in Eire and was under the impression that my diploma would stand me in good stead when seeking employment in your country; now, however, it would appear to be sub standard.
Through you, I would like to appeal to the Irish Government to upgrade other RTCs so that their qualifications are equally recognised. I make this appeal on behalf of the thousands of disillusioned students who were under the impression that their diplomas were of the same standard throughout Ireland. Thanks for your time.
