Recently, in connection with his meeting with the Dail Committee on the Status of Women's Affairs, the Minister for Equality and Law Reform, Mr Taylor, repeated his statement that half the population of Ireland voted "Yes" in the divorce referendum.

This is factually incorrect. Two thirds of the electorate voted, half of which voted "Yes". That means one third of the total electorate voted "Yes" - two thirds did not. - Yours, etc.,
