Madam, - Three years ago the Government was given a pledge of £50 million by J P McManus to assist in the development of a national stadium, find a site or turn a sod and we continue to use Lansdowne Road for all major rugby and soccer fixtures.
Yet in the heart of Dublin we have the magnificent Croke Park rebuilt with our tax euro. Alas it is but a symbol of of a sectarian past and present still enforced by the officers of the GAA. I am aware Croke Park is a part of our heritage but it should also be the image of where we are today: open to all of the people and all of their games. - Yours, etc.,
KEVIN GALLAGHER, Raheen, Limerick.
