Sir, - Re David Horovitz's report on Israel's new bill on conversions to Judaism, I would like to point out that no one ever suggested the Reformed - or New Liberal - Synagogue was not acceptable when money was needed to build the State of Israel.
My grandfather donated thousands old pounds. Thank God he died before learning that he is now regarded as only a second class Jew by the Israeli Government. - Yours etc.,
