Sir, - Iarnrod Eireann is to be congratulated. At last it has found a use for the brand new DART carriages that have been sitting idle outside Pearse Station for a number of weeks. Frustrated commuters pass these empty, unused carriages - with their spanking new seats still covered in plastic - every day.
The good news is that they are now in use - though not, unfortunately, serving passengers. They are being used as storerooms. Each carriage is packed with large blue cylinders. Great news for cylinders. Not such good news for weary travellers. - Yours, etc.,
