We are approaching a general election campaign surely column space would be more effectively utilised in analysing some of the issues that will be at the core of this election? The continual printing of letters on this non issue would give credence to the assertion expressed in other media outlets that The Irish Times suffers from a blind and sycophantic obsession with President Robinson.
