Sir, - As a member of the Church of Ireland, I fully support Dean Victor Griffin's call to reexamine our Church's links with the Orange Order. What happened after the church service in Drumcree flew in the face of Christ's call to love our neighbours as ourselves.
Sadly, many people in Northern Ireland, both Catholic and Protestant, are suffering as a consequence of that day. Do the Orange Order and the main unionist parties not realise, as well, that actions such as Drumcree seriously undermine the union with Great Britain, which they proclaim in such an offensive fashion? - Yours, etc.,
Castle Park,
Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
