Sir, - The recent decision to cancel vasectomy services at Letterkenny General Hospital is a public disgrace. Three placard waving doctors have obstructed a service which may be legally provided in this state.
Dr Leo MacAuley, consultant gynaecologist at the hospital, apparently was one of the placard wavers. Since a gynaecologist has succeeded in cancelling male vasectomy services, are we now to expect prostate specialists to disrupt the performance of female tubal ligation? - Yours, etc.,
