Sir, - Whilst I sympathise with postal workers in their difficulties with the positioning of letter boxes, my problem is more fundamental. Looking for number 39 is a futile task. I can find Sleepy Hollow, Santa Ponsa, Sunset View, Old Trafford, the Litany of the Saints (unabridged), any number of Padre Pios - but no Number 39.
Unfortunately, postal workers must ponder where to put it. We politicians must ponder where to find it. - Yours, etc.,
