Madam, - There will be a lot more heard about the Labour Party and work permits in the next few months and we will have lectures from many people who will pass themselves off as friends of the workers, custodians of the trade union movement and saviours of the unemployed.
The latest spectacle is that of Pat Rabbitte, leader of the Labour Party, wrapping this idea up in patriotic language.
As the record will show, even at a casual glance, the Labour Party has in the past as in the present welshed on its policy, and of course its principles were always for sale. - Yours, etc,
MICHAEL J STOKES, Willington Green, Templeogue, Dublin 6W.
