Madam, - Looking at that magnificent but extremely nasty photograph on the front page of Mondays edition, in which a Cork footballer has an uncompromising hold of one of the Kerry players, I would be interested to hear if any of the GAA hierarchy has any comments to make about this "tackle". Under legislation soon to be introduced in rugby, a "tackle" like that will warrant two years' suspension, and that is in a professional game.
Surely there must be some system for citing incidents like this when the referee, as seems to have happened in this case, misses it. - Yours, etc,
