Sir, - In these days of tribunals, selfishness and sleaze, it is heartening to see that the ordinary decent people of Ireland have come up trumps again.
Recently the farming community of Wexford sent 5,000 bales of hay, straw and silage to their western counterparts, who have been worst hit by the severe shortage of cattle fodder. Other counties have followed this initiative: Waterford, Carlow, Kilkenny and Wicklow also sent fodder.
