Madam, - Is there no end to the stupidities being perpetrated in Northern Ireland?

Your readers will have seen the advert in "Business This Week" (Oct 28th) in which Stranmillis University College, Belfast, is seeking a person, who, among other qualities, should have experience of speaking the Ulster-Scots language.

I have lived all my life in the province of Ulster and I have never heard anyone speaking this language.

On intensive travels in mainland Scotland and the Outer Hebrides, I have heard Gaelic used as the everyday language but Ulster Scots - bah.
