Sir, – The Road Safety Authority has erected advertising in Dublin Airport advising visitors to drive on the left. The idea is laudable but the execution lamentable. The advertisements involve a large Irish flag with, over the green, an up-arrow, and over the orange, an arrow pointing downwards. The arrangement of the national flag was chosen carefully to represent harmony between the nationalist and unionist traditions. It is hardly politic of a Government agency to deface it in this way. – Yours, etc,
HUGH YOUNG,
Ballytore, Athy, Co Kildare.
