Sir, – The Department of Health states that the vast majority of digital Covid vaccination certificates have been issued for those eligible to receive them ("Second Covid helpline established", News, July 21st). Sadly this does not include me, even though I had my second dose on May 2nd, and my husband,who was vaccinated at the same time, has received his certificate.
A helpline that states waiting time will be longer than 90 minutes and, more annoyingly, assures us that “your call is very important to us” immediately afterwards, is almost laughable, if not downright cruel. I have been trying for days now to get through, tried other avenues through the Department of Health, the HSE, etc, all to no avail. Is there anybody out there to help me and the many other anxious and helpless citizens who cannot get their certificate or an explanation for it not being sent out?
I find it hard to believe at this stage that my call is very important to anyone. – Yours, etc,
