Sir, – Regarding the end of summertime clock-changes, several letter writers have lamented that children will have to go to school in the dark.
To be honest, this seems no great hardship – especially given that most Irish children now go to school in the back of a car – and wouldn’t that extra hour of daylight be of more benefit to them in the afternoon anyway, to play sports? – Yours, etc,
