Sir, - Cian Hallinan (February 1st) may think Gerry Stembridge was over the top with his portrayal of the characters in Black Day in Blackrock, but I can assure him the scary meeting I attended here in Bantry, when it was decided a few families from the Travelling community should be "encouraged" to move on was a carbon copy of the one in the play, albeit in Bantry the threats of violence against the Travellers were a lot more believable than the somewhat careful language used to discourage the black and European asylum-seekers in the TV drama. - Yours, etc.,
