Sir, - Large numbers of people marched through Kildare on May 3rd protesting against the resettlement of refugees in their community, as have other people all over Ireland. One placard read: "Refugees pose a health risk to our community."
Scores of people have died in Ireland over the past decade and others are still dying after contracting hepatitis and AIDS through blood infected products administered to them by this State's Ministry of Health. By contrast, the silence of the Irish people on this issue is deafening! - Yours, etc.,
Mathilda Twomey, Ballyclery, Kinvara, Co Galway.
