Sir, – The thoroughly jaded chat-show genre is now on its last legs, as is evidenced by the apparent lack of interest among showbiz luminaries in hosting the moribund Late Late Show; even that show’s owl looks like it’s about to fall off its perch at any minute.
The tired characteristic of the talk show format has had its day.
