Sir, – I was delighted to read your article “Dún Laoghaire Baths finally reopen” (News, December 13th), although somewhat disheartened to learn that an outdoor swimming area was not included in the current phase; instead, a rectangular, temporary concrete cap has been placed over the intended bathing spot. Given the rectangular shape, and the missing pool amenity, should the area not be called the Dún Laoghaire Bath Mat? – Yours, etc,
